Looking into your eyes
Is like looking into the eye of a storm
I know something is going on inside
there is something that is not the norm
Wild like the winds of a hurricane
destructive like a tornado's path
Everything shows in your look
to beware of your wrath
Youre a person not to be messed with
your feelings cooled by ice
You listen to a dark soul
that gives you bad advice
Not aware of your surroundings
or your interactions in any way
People usually dont get close enough
for you to truly hear what they say
The only reason I am close enough
to see what is going on with you
Is because we are close friends
your barriers, you let me through
Please listen
to the words I want to say
Stop listening to your soul
let the hatred go away
I am your friend
and forever will be
So release that storm
allowing a hug from me
Behind your barriers
there is a world of love thats true
Let your soul be dormant
and your feelings and actions be controlled by you

Wayne: I wish we could all have a friend like you describe here. Wise, comforting, tolerant, hopeful, and gracious.
Your poem describes a spirit guide who seeks with permission to lead the way out of bitterness to the healing grace of self-love.
Very strong message from a lion hearted friend.
I hope your gift is accepted, but more, I hope that your keep offering it all your life. We so need your inspiration and faith in others.

| You do write good rhyming poetry and I like how this one makes me think of the way some people surround themselves with walls that are so hard to reach through. Sometimes I think we all need to be careful not to let those walls get so high that friends are shut out forever. I know people who care are one of life's greatest treasures. |
