Because everything good has to end
After all
Waves, like years
Come and go
In a flash
In a split second
Our future joins our past
Coming in
The water rises
Who will we be?
Going out
The water recedes
Who were we?
So as you look back
After the wave
Take who you were
And who you are
And you'll be made
