Evermore

Contributed by MissTeenSuicide on Friday, 29th May 2015 @ 04:53:19 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I hear the people talking
Wondering where I've been
I see the people gawking
Wondering how I've sinned

The road behind me,
An indentation
The road ahead,
A revelation

My mind is open wide
My hands are reaching out
I haven't been so sly
I've had too much self doubt

But things are changing now
Of that I am quite sure
I've found myself somehow
I've found my cure

*
Running, running, running
Towards the door
Feeling, feeling, feeling
Evermore

I've been so lost, selfish, and so impure
Now I'm running, running, running, towards the door

I've never been so sure.
*

Don't care what they're saying
I know I've made mistakes
But do you see me crying?
Do you see me slam the brakes?

Won't give up so easy, no
I Won't give in so fast
So take my hand now, baby
This world is so vast

*
Running, running, running
Towards the door
Feeling, feeling, feeling
Evermore

We've been so lost, selfish, and so impure
Now We're running, running, running, towards the door

I've never been so sure.
*

You put yourself down
Don't let others do the same
You've got your own frown
You don't need to play their games

There's no use fretting,
over where I have been
We have our heading,
So let us begin

*
Running, running, running
Towards the door
Feeling, feeling, feeling
Evermore

We've been so lost, selfish, and so impure
Now We're running, running, running, towards the door

Have you ever been this sure?
*

Nice...I like it. The inconsistent rhyme scheme is a little puzzling, but I can hear this as a song.
