Celebrate the Soul

Contributed by spike on Saturday, 6th June 2015 @ 09:44:07 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

croissants in the morning,
coffee in a bowl
grins amidst the yawning
as we celebrate the soul

hugs, and gentle kisses
that caress the wrinkled cheek;
the weekend an oasis
that hides the working week

papers sprawled across the sheets,
the radio on low;
birdsong in the morning
to leave us all aglow

some moments are just gifted,
we forget they make us whole;
embrace them with a passion
as we celebrate the soul.

Hey Spike, I really like this one!

It's like you blow with your breath on a new foam of java
and see into my soul like the clouds passing by
we're not so much travelers of this world, and instead
this world goes around and we ourselves go along with it
just like the froth changes when we blow into it. I think we're looking into a mirror in the sky hoping for
something good, like maybe we'll learn to be just
little more free, a little more kind, a little more
true.

Peace!
