Broken Angel

Contributed by ingeniusidiot on Friday, 26th June 2015 @ 01:46:12 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Broken Angel

Upon the floor shattered pieces of porcelain lay
While a pair cerulean eyes and a Mona Lisa smile stare
From mahogany colored boards through empty space
At amber stars painted on a ceiling of white

With pieces scattered like the stars across a canvas of midnight
Haunting my dreams are the cracked rosy cheeks of a hand-painted childlike face
And her velvet wings, white as snow, now carry its spirit with such care
Up to Heaven where its little golden harp will once again play

2015

This was brilliant.
Not to sound or come off as stupid but I/'/m not sure why this is so impressive. You seem to spit it out without great care but it reads as a finely crafted piece. You do it so well it sort of fools you.

Many here get too fancy with words and it ruins the piece. This is a marvel but oh so readable...
Truly beautiful and of course impressive!
