Howling at the Moon

To pick apart the sturdy passions wracked From dreamless pacing and unpacking, Cracked upon the tile floor and Stacked, upended inspirations, Poor, unworthy conversations Spoken through a pretty Grin to mask the blinking fear.
To cut away the unkempt layers, Tearing free the buried nature, Kept forever locked up tight in Crisp compartments, Sealed with fire, Shut inside an ivory spire, Clawing at the iron gates of Contemplation's mire.
To wrest the noble mocking treasure Sown in rows of simple silver pleasures, Melted, bent in twisted shapes of Crashing conscience, sieved between the Clutching fingers, balled in Sick, defiant fists And striking at the air.
To lull the tides of endless lapping, Soothing listless ocean happenings, Grasping wisps and saccharine bits of Mirrored moments slowly plastered, Milky whites and alabasters Clasped to motions ever-fractured, Loosed upon the whirling black And howling at the Moon.
