Two Lines

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Wednesday, 28th May 2003 @ 03:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

"You know.... I miss you....."
"I miss you too..."
Two lines, that's all
It took to make tears fall.

I didn't know what I lost,
I did not know the cost,
That it would take to move away.
That it'd be the friendship to pay.

All the blackness that was brought on,
Is only here because your gone.
It created the emptiness inside,
Now I don't have to run and hide.

When I moved, I lost alot,
And in the newness I forgot,
To replace all those things I left behind,
With new things that I find.

"You know.... I miss you..."
"I miss you too...."
All I read in these two lines
Is all in my world that brightly shines.

To my friend and companion,
My sorrow fills a canyon.
I miss you with my whole heart,
And I wish we never had to part.

Oh my god... you just made me cry!!! You bumhole! You're too damn sweet to me. What'd I ever do that was so great, huh? I'm just stupid, little old me. But you know what? We may be apart physically, but we never lost the friendship. I mean, look at this! It's right here in this poem and in this comment! Trust me when I say I know how much distance sucks and that it's just not the same, but it's not like we'll never see each other again. Neither of us will let that happen. You know that I love you and cherish your friendship. You're one of the most wonderful people I've ever met, and I hated to see you go. You always understood me even when no one else could. I could go on and on like this, but my comment would end up taking up a whole page, so I'll stop here. Just remember that I love you and we'll see each other soon enough, I'm sure. Blessed be my forever friend,

~ Dee
