Sitting in the dark
I hear voices in my head
Saying help is on the way
You are not yet dead
As I try to move my arms
I can feel they're tied up tight
What seems to be a stray jacket
Have I worn this all my life?
I try to scream out load
But something is not right
For theres something in my mouth
My lips are wired tight
Wishing I could see some light
To understand where I am
Wishing someone would come to me
Take me by the hand
But my legs are currently working
And for the moment that seems great
Until I try to stand
I guess Ill have to wait
For my feet are tied together
And they are tied up tight
I just can't seem to break the chains
Even with all my might
I start to roll around
To find what I can feel
A padded wall I rolled into
Is this really for real?
All the sudden a blistering light
Comes on above my head
What seems to be a Doctor
Walked up to me and said,
"Why hello there Mr. Asdney
How are you doing today?
Have you freed yourself from your mind?
Or do you wish to stay?"
As he took out the syringe
He had a smile on his face
Said "this should calm you down
and put you in your place."
As I felt the drugs take effect
I lay there with a stare
My whole body became so numb
In my mind I was so scared
He opened up my chart
And looked through it really close
Said "This guy is a schizo
We should really up the dose
On the back wall I can see
A sign that is painted black
"They now have checked you in
You never can go back"
