Woke up this morning and I pinched myself
I can't believe that this is true
Even if somehow I were to fail
Its worth the effort to get through
I put this dream upon the shelf most times
Lost within the things important
And now at the winter of my life
I am speeding quickly toward it
Mistakes
All my life has been mistakes
Missed chances and heart ache
Can this dream now be for real
Mistakes
Won't you please now go away
No more do I want to make
endless egregious mistakes
Woke up this morning and I pinched myself
Still I had to go to work
Put my editing aside for once
Just to share my joy with you
I hope that you will wish me well in this
And that this is not a pipe dream
All my joy has been welling up
Til it makes me want to scream
No matter what I will look back at this time and sing, even when my voice is gone
My publishing this year is greatly in part because of you
