Today is so different than any day of our past Our futures are of chaos borders being over taken very fast
Europe undergoing change a change that leaves the country weak So many refugees coming from the east they say its food and shelter that they seek
America being torn apart mostly from within, is what I see Our government so very greedy always telling lies to you and me
Everyone sick and tired but no one wants to stand and fight Politicians get their votes the people hope their choices were right
There just seems to be no end to the corruption and crime today All of the countries are poisoned and we just listen to what the government leaders say
What if everyone finally took a stand to change the way things have turned out to be To stop the movement of refugees and to stop terrorist mobility
To everyone I say stand up for what you do believe Be united together in good but not in a way in which you will deceive

A truly courageous piece, and well said.
Perhaps we would have been better off had they inscribed this poem on the Statue of Liberty instead of "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses."
Your point is well-taken.
We can't blame anyone but ourselves.
Silence, after all, is consent.
