Tell Me

Contributed by blknwht on Friday, 18th September 2015 @ 05:41:25 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Tell me that you don't love me
Tell me I'm just blind and I can't see
Tell me those feeling you felt weren't real
Tell me what we felt together you did not feel

Tell me I'm going crazy
Tell me your not being lazy
Tell me it's over and you have to leave
Tell me something... oh pretty, pretty please

A simple life is what your hearts desire
A simple life with you is what my heart aspires
I'm just finding it hard to believe you don't feel the same
What do you think, I'm truly insane?

You tell me you have to move away
I think your wrong, you should definitely stay
Even you said "We deserve each other"
Said we would always love one another

We've gone to far
To give up who we are
We have both suffered enough
Lets choose to be with one another, lets choose to love

Don't move away
Give us a chance, choose to stay
Let me love you
For all of the rest of your days

If you choose to walk away
I'll support you any way
Just know what your leaving behind
And remember if you leave, you even harder to find

Why is it that the more ardently we pursue the object of our desire; the more we distance ourselves from them!
Some of us only want what lies beyond our reach. That is true for both of you. Your lament will reach many sympathetic eyes.
Don't be surprised is she comes after you when you are walking away.

I like your poem because the sentiment is what I do in life: I pursue the easy dream, the one that does not believe in my or that is not aware of its depth of love. When I do this, pursue this false love I often miss out on the real love in front of me. The anguish in your poem really shows and is genuine that is why I can relate to this
