40 Yard Stare orig (906) poetry 10/15 By: D.L.Brown aka $tr8 $av Wikkid Rich
Wires crossed all wrong bulbs burnt out blown fuses burnt smell in the air Da#n Heart on Sleeve again It still isn't fully repaired from the last time I choose to wear it out there. Considering going out on A -Date= To the Fair Me?! actually going somewhere Instead of locking down within 4 walls blowing thick clouds into the air Stuck Pipe Drunk, eyes like dinner plates, Doing the 40 Yard Stare...

Really cool!
"actually going
somewhere
Instead of
locking down
within 4 walls
blowing thick
clouds into the air"
Been there, brother. Still am, sometimes. I like this poem, and am surprised no comments.
I also like that you aren't hemmed in by 'rules' or conventions of word placement.
I'll be reading more of your shares.
Way to go,
Invierno |

Stark, striking, and delivered in fine style. Yep, the old 40 yard stare. Know it well. |

This is really interesting, because I started of reading at a slower pace because the smaller lines implied it to me, but with every line it picked up faster like a small rock turning to into a giant snowball.
I wish I knew what the 40 yard stare is... The only thing I can think is just zoning out. That I can definitely relate to. The "space cadet". |
