The genuine smile and charitable heart
Those priceless qualities that win from the start
From the shy approach to the careful consideration
Of a girl's well being, their charm lacks the usual bad boy deceit
Let's hear it for the nice guys
The ones who will truly not finish last
For their traits won't fade with superficial appeal
Their love will last because it is rooted in something real
Let's hear it for the nice guys
The ones that feel overlooked by nice dolls
Abandon the idea that you are the minority
For coming across someone like you is my priority
To experience the joy you offer is a dream I keep locked in my heart
And I shall reveal it to you once we have a start
Let's hear it for the nice guys
The ones I root and cheer for from the stands of this popularity game
For their valid and purity supersedes looks and machismo
Let's hear it for the nice guys
Since this nice girl knows they deserve a hand

The good thing is to know when to be the nice guy, as well as the cool, tough, or bad guy. Be nice to the girls who deserve it, and can return something likewise, and the same for being a bad guy, and a guy will feel much better. :)
I enjoyed this. Despite niceness being a contradiction to instinct, generally speaking, it's good to know someone appreciates it. ;) |

We need to get the word out that the quiet nice guys are not hard to find, they're just easy to miss sometimes!

The game of mating and love is strange, girls often look for the wrong guys for fun and the nice guys for long term relationships.
I know I have been told on three occasions when I was younger, that I was the kind of guy that she would like to Marry but not go out with for a one night stand. That is why in Australia Statistics show that 20% of children are born to NON Paternal parents. 1 in 5, poor blokes never know that they are raising someone else's child as the ladies never say.
This is a great poem. The nice guys deserve a cheer.
