Straight up, Brother

Topic: dedicatedpoems

I'm sitting here with a cold miller lite in my hand, it's my first and my last of the day
It's amazing what this stuff does. You open up and have so many words to say

Listen I'm not going to beat you around the bush. From one man to another
Eye to eye, heart to heart. I'm talking straight up, brother

You say time and time again your success couldn't be achieved without all your trusted parts
Please, this is no time to be humble, you are the key, without you, that car doesn't start

You play so many roles beyond that of the one you do in uniform
Every second of every day, you bring the ship in through potentially terrible storms

And then the outside world takes a look at your troops. They see numbers. They're doing good.
The stress of this thing is destroying you. Your favorite place right now would be a cold ambulance hood

Straight up, I love you brother. Thank you for what you give me. Above all you're a great therapist
From man and hand to hand, here's a cold Miller lite for your fist.

I'll gladly have that beer with you, and thank you in return mister foxman!

So strangely short, yet flowing great distance.
So nimble, despite great stature.

Nicely done will be true, but to be honest there's more to appreciate here than I can fully muster the ability to do.

And so in return I say "I love you too brother." Then we can have a cheers and relish in a joyous relaxation of a long day's end. :)

It is so rare to have the privilege of reading this type of outreach from man to man. I commend your sincerity and the strength of your self confidence which is measured in the casual grace of the feelings you reveal here.
You are, beyond a doubt, a man worth knowing.
