When the one person you want to talk to,
Is the one person who won't listen,
When the one person you let inside your heart,
Is the person that threw it back in your face.
When you feel as though you've died inside,
And those tears won't stop falling.
When feeling worthless is your normal,
And all you want to do is see their face,
When they've put so much distance between you,
If it wasn't for the hurt it's like they never existed.
When you want to say 'I'm not coping',
You want them to wrap you in their arms.
When you know you won't see them again,
And it feels like a it was all a dream.

You sound like a lovely person. I have read some other poems you have posted, I lost my parents in 2010 but at the age of 71 and 68 due to Cancer. Within 3 months of each other.
I know what you went through.
I think that you are being a bit hard on your self, your lack of self confidence and a need for love and comfort is evident. You are NOT Worthless, at times people have to distance them selves periodically. Have faith people do come around and others are just waiting to be found. I know how this feels and I am older and wiser, but still feel the same as you do and to top it off I feel so silly and I hated my self for allowing something to get out of control. But then I realized I could not prevent it. Love really hurts. At any age. |
