Will you be there?
Please don't ever push me away.
And my heart is now made from clay
it used to be a stone from years of abuse
then you came along and you changed my way
to what it was years before and yesterday.
Please listen to what my aching heart has to say.
The external appearance, projected by you
as a cold hearted person, does not suit you.
You radiate a warm halo around you,
but, only for those that really know you
Your eyes shine brighter than any star.
You smile smiles wider; near or far.
Your eyes are dark but project the moons light
your smile lights up my darkest nights,
the thought of you makes them feel so right,
It makes them bright, I long to be near to you
when I'm close to you I'm alright, I feel alright.
Please say 'you understand', as this, I can't fight.
I want you, I need you to be my best friend,
talking in togetherness will time transcend.
I wanna hold you in these arms of mine
I want a love that could withstand time
I wanna be yours, and yours alone to hold
I was hit with cupids arrows; I had to fold
I wanna laugh with you, and have you be mine
I wanna have fun with you, show you that I care.
I wish that you could say that my feelings you share
I want your arms to hold me as I hold you back
and should you ever cry, Ill pick up the slack.
I want to be your lover, and your best friend.
I am totally committed in this plight
as my feelings for you I can no longer fight
I don't want you to say that this is the end
Id like to be with you till the end of time,
Please let me know that you still care,
that for the rest of our lives we can share
every moment and every little care
Please let me know
will you be there?

This poem is absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't change anything about it. I know that feeling all too well.
Of all the poems of yours I've read, this one's the best one yet.
