It hurt

Contributed by FireStarter on Tuesday, 5th January 2016 @ 05:12:04 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

When I looked at her, it hurt. It hurt to see what was in her eyes,
all of the pain and all of the lies.
It hurt to see the truth they told, those beautiful green eyes.
They tremble with pain, they seem to cut ties...saying goodbye.
Those beautiful green eyes.
When I looked at her, it hurt. It hurt to see innocent flesh,
not unharmed but torn to death.
It hurt to see the scars she wore on her porcelain white skin.
It aches with the pain from being trapped within.
Her porcelain white skin.
When I looked at her, it hurt. It hurt to not hear her talk,
but only whisper as she walked.
It hurt to hear only snippets of conversation.
Her voice seem to quiver with reservation.
Her soft spoken voice.

Then came the day when I didn/'/t see her anymore.

Great write.
I/'/m guilty of feeling others pain even though they created what they got and deserved it.
I/'/m not a fan of even seeing the guilty suffer.
Your poem brought on much reflection. Great job.

James
