Robert the demon hunter poem 1

Contributed by banjosandwitch on Wednesday, 3rd February 2016 @ 02:53:58 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Robert the demon hunter

You/'/ll never catch me running for a bus
I take my time, there is no rush
Demons they run and fly away
When the cries of the villagers scream
He/'/s on his way!
Demons beware he/'/ll vanquish you today!

From generation to generation
Demon hunters are born
They come to save humanity
From itself, evil and the devils spawn
They are skilled in magic
They cast great spells
Sending whatever straight back to hell

Who calleth for a demon hunter?
Who fears the reaper?
Call 0151 000 000 OMG!
And I/'/ll come in a hurryish

Oh Robert you/'/re here
Please save me from hell
A demon has me in its spell
I wished for great beauty and wealth
But it wanted my soul as payment

Your soul is what it seeks
Then beauty and wealth you must relinquish fairest maiden, for it you to keep
And live life as a normal human or why not a geek ?

But Robert I love my looks and wealth
Can/'/t you kill it with great stealth?
Yes I can, but you struck a deal he replied
We can/'/t always just do what we want with no consequences miss
So cough up the soul or give up the looks and doe

The beautiful and rich may run the world in some eyes
But scratch the surface and you won/'/t be surprised to see a geek or two behind the faade
For wisdom over looks is what prevails

I am Robert the demon hunter
Call me when all else fails
Call me if you are possessed or in peril
But don/'/t waist my time over non demonic crime
Or selfish wishes of lust and greed
A kind heart and a good friends is all one do need

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
