Silence so loud
it pierces the night
A hard look
that gives you a fright
Worse than hitting,
kicking, fighting
so hard, that look
stops your breathing..
That look says stop
before you have a chance to start
violence and anger
pierces your heart
In the silence
one thousand crickets chirp,
but, not even they
can stop the hurt
