Lost in a storm of hate and tears Quickly losing track of these passing years Alone, I face my demons in the dark Letting each leave its own permanent mark Im unsure how much longer I can survive without the warmth of your light by side --
But that kind of bliss was never meant for my heart Yours would never learn to play the part
In solitude I let the dark take control Let it have whats left of my soul Ill lay here alone, lost in my own sorrow Hoping to be in a better place tomorrow

You challenge us to survive the night by setting us on a perilous edge and asking us what we would do!
By your example you give us reason to hope "to be in a better place tomorrow".
Words of optimism that begin as you are sinking under the burden.
A short story with a worthy lesson.
thank you,
