Today I left you
as you stood at my bedside to say goodbye
I wish I didnt have to go
but we know the reasons why
Now I am in a place
where pain is no more
I am watching over each of you
youre my loving children whom I adore
Please dont be angry
try to lift the burden that brings you tears
Keep all of our loving memories
of everything we did through the years
I may be gone
but within each of you I still live
Take care of my grand children
as you all have so much love to give
I am watching you right now
I know you hurt so bad
Just know I love you so much
I am your loving dad
I know youre going to miss me
I will miss you too
I will never say goodbye
because my spirit will always be with you
So please smile
and think happy thoughts for me
I will be right here waiting
when someday heaven is your place to be
