Thinner Twine

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Wednesday, 24th February 2016 @ 12:01:56 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Darkness has become my only friend
Tortured by life it seems
Agony filled with sadness
Never comes to an end
The sun brings more darkness
The moon has no glow
Hopeless dreams
The only kind I know
Without energy
I have no seeds to sew
My soul is in rapid decline
Better men than I
Have hung from thinner twine

Having been there (and still so at times), this is a painful, though real and brutal read.

If only I were a poet and had the words to lessen your pain. But alas, the mightiest poet that ever breathed (of which we share a molecule of air they breathed every minute or so) is toothless as a newborn in aiding you-

work through the pain. start by dissecting the primary source and deconstruct the dynamic that led to such abysmal inner angst.

You are your own jailer and prisoner- learn that- the keys are jangling on your belt if you have desire (not all do, of course) to pluck them to your betterment.

//Damn, the anguish, the pain. Yet, great use of metaphors. Indeed pain to poets brings great poetry and here in lies a perfect example.

Another wower, Jimmy!!!!

Thanks,

Dugan
