For those who worked hard all their days; It comes as quite a shock To shift gears to a workless phase; Without a ticking clock.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, pass without a reason The less we do, the less we can; In this our final season.
Glory days my friends all praise; When they were busy doing! Our good old days of chasing; A future worth pursuing!
No time to dwell on aches and pains; No time to stay in bed. Tick tock the clock our youth did mock; We cared not what it said!
At last the body rules the mind; We walk instead of racing; Children grow and old friends go; Our historys erasing.
Some paint or write or garden Or shop, or sail the seas; Or volunteer with others; at church or charities.
But I wont be retiring soon; Although the sign says STOP; Im scared Ill be pulled over; Unless I punch that clock!
My lifes been one long highway; And Im a saddletramp; Who longs to see what waits for me Beyond that exit ramp.

you know now you can focus, before maybe, just maybe, you were only putting out fires, one fire put out, another fire about to begin.
Children children, please all of you, sit down, now is time for our lesson to begin... ah those were the days,
the days when we actually believed in some dream,
the dream, the past, the future, and then something
else.
Don/'/t worry, you/'/ll be okay SW, I know it.
The dream by the way, I/'/m convinced, is make yourself useful, but what that means, few people, sadly,do know.
A} you could write all day long now
B} lead a softball team to victory
C} be a Walmart Greeter, and tell each new shopper about your life story, each time it would be
pitched in such a way that would make it harder for them to walk away from you and shop, the store manager would one day have to dismiss you
because you would solely be responsible for huge loss of revenue, which would make you smile of course.
Well at least it would make me smile/ a Bernie Sanders sort of grin... that is
Peace!

Finally someone thinks as I do. A stagnant mind is a terrible way to live life and often very destructive.
This horrible economy proves the theory.
The last day of work for me is the day of the funeral.
Unlike the soft and lazy of today I have no excuses. I can/'/t get enough work. I feed off the adrenaline and knowing you like I do I think we are kin.
Even your phenomenal poems reveal a tremendous work ethic. I salute you.
Bravo!

Simpatico! Your talent and mind shine with customary brilliance, Softer, softer, softer, do I wear the garments of your ruminations....and they comfortable.
