I have written many poems
covering everything I do
now its time to write about
turning 52
so many different obstacles
have tried to keep me down
although nothing has succeeded
because I am still around
so much determination
makes it easy for me to say
I am Right where I want to be
being here today
just doing what I love
& always loving what I do
it is a piece of my happiness
as well as sharing it with you
I am not getting any younger
that is the cold Reality
I can only do my best
at simply being me
always writing out my feelings
always keeping them so true
always doing what I love
as I am turning 52

| The best poems are the ones that show the human in us all. I can relate to this one and welcome to the 50/'/s. Life is made up of all the little things and your words show how much it all means. Happy Birthday (when it is) and keep on writing. Really like this one, P |
