Gone, but hardly forgotten

Contributed by FireStarter on Tuesday, 29th March 2016 @ 05:07:27 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Forgotten moments swept away
Gone without a doubt
Lazy moments, idling by
Couldnt have saved her then, nor now
I forgot her sweet perfume
And the way she combed my hair
The way she left this world,
It just wasnt fair
To see the person that you loved
Slowly start to drift
It causes pain in your heart, and
It can cause a big shift:
A shift in your demeanor,
And the easy way you laugh
The careful way you sigh,
Her; a forgotten photograph
A grandmother so sweet,
With willowing hair
Was diagnosed with cancer
It doesnt seem fair
She says that she lived,
Lived well in fact
That she could leave from this world
Carefully intact
She doesnt regret
Anything shes done,
The good and the bad
Shes has done a ton.

Very sweet but sad. Been there and it/'/s no fun.
We all suffer loss. Yes that/'/s true. But some care more than others and that appears to be you and I....
A charming and emotional poem...

James
