I write of love because it/'/s a force so inspiring
Powerful and mighty, touching my soul
I was making my way across the usual path
Thinking of how we still haven/'/t met
But I know, this I do know
Mi amore, one day you/'/ll show up
When I least expect it, when I/'/ve nearly given up
Mi amore, I will find you someday
Mi amore, and forever you/'/ll stay
Then there/'/s the boy that tried filling your shoes
Fate puts him still near me, though this isn/'/t our will
Yet sometimes I wish he were you
And I swear he must think the same too!
But mi amore, one day you/'/ll show up
When I least expect it, so I/'/ll never give up
Mi amore, I/'/ll find you someday
Mi amore, and forever I/'/ll stay
