Ever the morrow- tomorrow I will change my life, stir the oar in my placidity- rock this torpid sea, this boat of me disturbed at lack of disturbance, alarmed turbulence has left a soul in paralysis, a body following suit; but it is all moot anyway, for tomorrow, tomorrow, I start a new day!

A gem that hits the bullseye. How often do we crave a sleepy lagoon when the storm is up and raging? Yet, too long in that sleepy lagoon and we are in need of more tempestuous waters: that self-punishing agitating of the calm; perhaps the calm we feel we do not deserve? It/'/s deep in the psyche, and quite frankly, I don/'/t understand it. But that/'/s me. |

I thought about this a bit
"a body following suit"
I transfigured this into
"a body suit"
we know this, an apology to
any poem, this body,
growing old, frowning
maybe just squinting
trying to read the small print,
All the hair everywhere,
moody, unkempt, too manicured
either way, maybe set in stone
or, hopefully, miraculously not
"Just a song before I go" Grahm Nash
I would imagine one on a journey
but it is moot, only
If one thinks it so
I say this Invierno only because
reading your poem just now
it reminds me of that song
it fits.
here it is

peace!

Languid moods find their way here. Like a puppet with strings cut, we overindulge in downtime..and it becomes just plain DOWN!
"Stir the oar in my placidity"! A great line!
You have reminded me that we are becoming a nation of watchers, not do-ers. Fans, not players;
observers not participants.
We work too hard and play too little, either having the time OR the money, but never both.
I think I shall wash my mind out and gargle with some fresh night air!
Thanks for getting my backfield in motion!
