Has anyone told you how extraordinary you are
Talented and intelligent at the same time
Sure I haven/'/t heard you sing a note or win a Nobel prize
But I believe it when you tell me of your skills
What I would give to see you rock out
Use that lovely voice to charm an audience
If only I could tell you how proud I am
That you/'/re doing well, even better than me
In the same area of expertise
But you won/'/t believe me if I tell you now
Because our ways have parted
Because it/'/s me you/'/re afraid to see
If I could boost your confidence I/'/d be ecstatic
Because, dear, you/'/re extraordinary, so unique
