Unhook the phone. Shut off the light. Turn up the music. Dont cry.
Pick up the knife. Slide it across your skin. It tingles. Dont cry.
Push harder. Feel the stinging. Watch the blood dribble down your arm. Dont cry.
Stare at the wound. It doesnt hurt. Put the knife back in. Dont cry.
Listen to his voice ringing in your head. Cant stop it. Push harder. Dont cry.
You deserve it. You hurt him. Now its your turn to bleed. Dont cry.
The music fades. The tears stop. You drop the knife, And start to cry.

Excellently conceived and executed but I could hardly bear to read it. My experience has always been nobody warrants such extreem action.
Try reading my poem "He's not the only one"
it's a true life tale |
