Mind shafts filled w/ darkness~
where nothing speaks of light
Obscenities so artless~
that only fools stay on to fight...
Avoiding participation~
I seek to understand
As the mind seems on vacation~
my soul must make a stand...
For not many years ago~
a similar road was taken
& when no further I could go~
I knew my path mistaken...
So, I traveled ever onward~
without a destination
Through all that I have wandered~
in search of realization...
As none know where they/'/re going~
/'/til they find where they belong
Even those away stowing~
must gain a voice for their song...
So, when at last I found my way~
& sang of my plight out loud
In the dawning of a new day~
I found a reason to be proud...
