Perhaps what you see in me is someone who I'm not For you never saw me crying in dirty stairwells, And you never saw me sneaking into construction yards late at night I don't think you understand what makes me tick, For you would understand then why I explore strange places. I cannot explain to you why I feel the way I do, nor why I cry when everything seems to be okay. Perhaps when you tell me I'm normal, you're lying Or else you don't see what is there.
Perhaps when you say that you love me, it's based On superficial things, like my personality and soul. You forget to recognize the hungers that make me a falliable being. I am human, defective, a god amongst men Of the same ilk as Dante, and Virgil, and Ovid. Your simplistic statements negate me And sooner or later I will have to make a stand.
In regards to your fallacies, I must say That I'm taking back what makes me me.

We all in some way have bits and pieces of ourselves that others can not see. But if we stand strong we know who we are...Believe in yourself.
