Another trail of tears roll down the cheeks of my face As I watch the everyday destruction within the human race
The sadness it churns emotions within I find myself shedding tears over and over again
Having served with men and women of the very best With serious emotion I cannot forget men and women laid to rest
So many young people of the generation today Fighting for causes without a clue theyve been given the right to say what they say
It is so sad that they abuse those rights when they stand on, or our flag they burn They have no respect instilled this makes my emotions ever so churn
It is so sad to watch the demise of a country once so great It is now being divided between color and hate
Where will it all end what will the fate of our country be Will our freedoms be lost in vain degrading honor of those who have fought for you and me
{God Bless America}

Seek your own thoughts, my friend. Time and politicians desecrate memories. Even George Washington had slaves, and Lincoln never thought that black folk deserved true equality. Let me tell you of a quote by Mick McGahey: /'/Lions led by donkeys./'/

simply walking down the street
you might meet a veteran of war
whose fallen upon hard times
some are even in prison for foolish
crimes
close by in Haiti no one seems to care
and we wonder why
about so many things
my brother fought in vietnam, my father in wwII
my uncle died there, my grandfather in wwI
on on and on and on...
so many in my family which is large
served and still do
yes, in bosnia and yes in Iraq too
so yes, you should know, I honor you!
none of it was your fault or theirs.
of this much alone I am certain...
Peace! |

I wanted to come back to this, and just say,
I deeply honor you, as well as the others
for your bravery and sacrifice.
I don/'/t know about flag burning, but I don/'/t like
sending people to war even if it is necessary.
I sat in the apartment of an old women who served in Africa as a nurse, where she met her husband a pilot in WWII. Before she went to the field she actually served
general Pershing who was ill and very old at the time.
After the war she married the pilot and they lived in Iran
where he flew cargo planes for a time.
Iran, she told me was a beautiful place, and the people there were absolutely wonderful.
My dad, an ex-marine, spent almost three years, first in the South Pacific, and then in China, fighting against Japan. My mom was a nurse then, seaside.
You know firsthand that war sucks. I can tell you, my father who died in 96, had hundreds of letters written to him from other soldiers, I can tell you that because I still have them in my own possession.
My dad never spoke of the war, his injuries suffered, the malaria, nothing of the sort.
He loved China, he did tell me that.
I was only given the letters after he died.
I also have his boots.
Peace!
