You fall away from the times,
Meant to hide,
You awake from the spell that made you abide,
Now you cry,
Because what held you back,
Kept you alive.
For years it was locked away,
Now it//'//s stalking me,
Bloodshot eyes of its prey,
It has cornered me before,
This time is not the same,
I think I//'//ve fallen for,
It//'//s suffocating flame.

The last four lines is like watching someone fall off a cliff into the abyss.
and now you have left us at the edge, looking over.
