::im not used to ever holding back in my writings and poetry, political nor world views also cannot silence me, humanity matters, our voices do along with natures voice, animal lives are precious, trees and oceans so full of life and beauty... whilst my choice of living on top of a mountain in a national forest basically alone with boxer heidi dog may not be for all- the insight, isolation, and inspiration are well worth any societal loneliness, for i find in most regards that humans are alone even in a crowd, so although i am isolated i am not lonely... i am surrounded by thousands of green trees right now- sunlight and skies poking betwixt and between- birds singing by day, frogs by night, the night sky pure black pitch with stars so brightly clear- there is a bear who rubs his bum on my mailbox- a raccoon who gallops upon my rooftop- two huge black snakes that keep the venomous ones away- panther, wolves, eagles, squirrels, foxes, deer, bats, other creatures of the night with unique calls, ive many many wild neighbors- my mind craves and needs this quiet wild world, who i am and what i express in poetry and articles come from a deep passion in my soul, all is original from the heart, this place inspires me and i love it... a poet is a mysterious entity that captures life without ever firing a shot, seeing the world from a different reality, an odd perspective that makes sense to the masses, poetry is art that speaks in rhythmical lines which touch hearts and spirits of all languages and countries, one need not to suffer to be a poet but i find it helps; for those living on rainbows riding unicorns in la la land are only dreamers admiring themselves, for how do poems come to be? they come from deep shared places that become words that all the world might see, some of the worlds best poetry is penned in heartache, writing it out does not erase the pain only momentarily eases it, for me it is spontaneous and whilst i write the world stops revolving around the sun or the moon holds its breath for untold hours as words escape; for if they do not bloom they may fade away... poetry is the voice of the humanity, one must love language and words themselves, one must love or hate the world, there is no complacency in poetry, no i will do it some day, no i will not get out of bed and write this, no i will brush this intuitive understanding out the door...no- alas, it is evidence of life that must be written, for although love or smiles bring it so shall tears, if your life has burned away poetry is the ash read by another to soothe their soul; as it should be, nobody should have any illusion about the true possibility of gaining some thing from the reading of poetry; for at times it says more in fewer words than novels and history books.

Beautiful and insightful. I love this write from you! Also, you may not know it, but I always smile when I think of my poetess friend on the mountain. Surrounded by wilderness and creatures. In a way it is my happy place, even though I have never been.
You are correct: loneliness occurs everywhere, so why not be amongst the natural beauty of the world.
Thanks for the smile, Ness!

This is simply amazing, straight from the heart. Never hold back, Nessa, your mountain sounds wonderful. Spontaneous, is the truth:
/'/ A poet is a mysterious entity that captures life without firing a shot./'/

I have read this work of wonder countless times now and can/'/t stop enjoying it. So much truth and beauty.
For some reason, this especially struck me tonight:
"If your life has burned away poetry
is the ash read by another to soothe their soul."
Thank you for sharing you.

Yes you have a beauty about you. I see the simple pleasure of beauty and it give me peace. I have been a loner most my life but I traveled and was carefree - it makes a difference. I don/'/t have my freedom now - not really and that too makes a difference - leaves me lonely. But to see the world as you do - I have. And yes most people are lonely because they miss the beauty often seeking it in a new car. You are so blessed to have your peace and appreciation. Someday I will be free again to travel and enjoy the beauty of new horizons each with their own sunset and with meeting enlightened souls and passing through their lives as well. I am happy for you and your contented peace. K |
