before the veil of sleep descends,
and the day ties up all loose ends
I hold my heart and still my mind,
and take the time to just remind:
to yourself be kind.
for all the failures of the day,
the chances lost on the way
the sabotage of harmony and health,
mistakes prominent on their shelf:
I forgive you, I whisper to myself.
memories replay in scenes,
wondering what it all means
seeking gems in the muck,
more effort than any luck:
let the day instruct.
we all fall and hope to rise,
pray tomorrow to be wise
you are strong and beautiful,
though others be blind:
to yourself be kind.

So very true.
We can often be harsher to ourselves than we would ever tolerate from anyone else.
This reminded me .........we are all human. To err is human they say, but I say to admit those errors is human too.
