I open the door
I am home
of habit or instinctual hope
I say hello...
Hello, I love you.
Nothing hears me but the air
in mocking silence
standing there reminded...
tears upon the floor.
You no longer exist
you have passed
and the magic is no more
than an echo of hello.
A magic I adored and loved
in the feeling of your smile
the touch of ether In your breath
intoxication upon wings of wonder.
I took that dose
That sip from your eyes
Swallowed hard
and was lost.
It is a drug that cannot be lost
but to an addiction
that echoes daily
"hello..."
While silent mocks the air.
