Truth Road and Reality Street

Contributed by Invierno on Friday, 15th July 2016 @ 09:52:32 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Truth Road and Reality Street
run side by side, yet rarely meet;
tandem paths, humming along,
at even pace every note, every song they create
is born on Life/'/s heavy cross;
easy or right; hard or wrong,
both savor wins, both swallow loss.
In moments rare entwined they become,
dislike to the shelf while morphing to one;
survival gives willpower to Boulevard Life
when Reality and Truth,
in corner-less doldrums of storm/'/s silent thunder,
face back to back, Anguish and Strife.

circles, like the reference to the happenings that repeat, no one knows exactly why, stay calm.

all the strife all happenings in any day nor night
do not sit right, some say, with me.

Some say, it is not for me to say, I just do not know the whole story, only caught part of it on HBO, never read any of the books.

I like short stories some might say, they capture the issue in full disclosure as if in a dream, hoping for a short way out

maybe a glossy magazine with all kinds of pictures
I like Tom Petty, think there is no need to feel as though
you are a refugee

part of the time, sometimes only

Peace!

Draw in by the title, I was more than hooked by the narrative within
One of those sit up and think poems......and it made me do just that.
You can say a lot on a little, this was right on the money.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
