The Flip Side of Love

Contributed by Invierno on Wednesday, 27th July 2016 @ 04:09:52 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I fear for you my Darling; my Darling, I fear for you,
for I know you love me as I love thee, every breath for each other we breathe.

All I may do I will do to spare you the truth
the death-pain felt by the last in our life to remain;
With sorrow undying, eyes never drying till last beat of our heart.

The moment you choked, gasping for air, I saw terror in your eyes.
While within me that same terror screamed, my heart ceasing beat at mere thought,
forbid the deed, of living my life without you.

There are rocks of sand, rocks of iron, so are as people, in sooth;
I am of iron while you, though of stone, my dearest sand.
May you never, my darling, feel that loss, pay agony/'/s cost of living your life without me.

My darling, if one must go and one remain, I pray you spared, find only joy in the end;
I/'/ll be blessing you, thanking you, for in like, you/'/ve in kindness with love blessed me;
my soul will leak tears to join those I will cry, but I//'//ll take solace in knowing bathed in love you/'/ll be going,
not left in pain ever growing the moment I die.

This is so deep
giving your all to the one you love
on a mission to help her in this life
and come running whenever she is in need.

It made me think, what if I have to spend my days alone, departed from the one that means most to me in all of this world.
I pray that when the time comes, by some miracle, our end will be together so that neither of us has to suffer to emptiness that inevitably comes with a partners passing.
Really made me sit up this one.
Thanks

Steve

They say there are many partners for each of us in this life.The curse of finding perfection is to know we will one day lose it.
You have penned a Shakespearian love sonnet with this sincere exploration of your feelings, and left us a message worth heeding: Today is all we have.
A toast to long life and happiness together!

Dearest Mike

The thought fills my eyes with tears my heart with fears unthinkable yet I would rather be last to go to spare my love the pain, however not before doing all I can/'/t to help first. Your piece talks of unconditional love a very rear thing in this day and age. Beautiful my brother. One who loves like this is truly blessed. For it is not easy to love without reservation. When you have someone that brings this out in you, then it is easy. God bless

Greetings
Gert
