To you or those whom you love.
Or even just a passer-by.
Be it horrifying;
Be it dangerous;
Or even hilarious!
Your survival is determined,
By your reaction.
That one defining moment in time,
That will either
Tickle your fancy,
Or maybe rock you foundation:
Sending your heart into a frenzy!
It/'/s here in this moment;
That you have to,
Fight, Flee or Laugh Your Butt Off!

How well you describe the moment that can define us! When we are unprepared as you were, we are our most authentic.
Five people will react five different ways to the same moment. It is the tell that defines them.
That, as you point out, is to our advantage, for where one will fail, another will take up the cause!
