If youve got a nickname that you never liked at all; Remember that we chose it so youre easier to recall!
Companies spend millions to find the perfect name; And just like yours it guarantees their everlasting fame!
Vulcan Spice Mills had a logo, but it needed glamour; Sold like hotcakes when they changed the name to Arm and Hammer
Adolf Kassler (nicknamed Adi), began Adidas as a caddy. Brother Ruda followed suit, like a good consumer; Maybe youll recall his name the next time you wear Puma.
U-Tote Em changed its working hours to serve the public more; Now theyre 7-11 and theyre open twenty-four.
Two sibling boys named Hasselfeld, wanted you to know that they were proudly brothers, so their toys are called HASBRO.
American Cinema was the first to bring us multi screens. Thanks to AMC we all have lots to choose between.
CEO Tom Ryan gets the credit for this fix; Consumer Value changed to CVS in 96.
Government Employees Insurance Company; We all called it GEICOuntil it ceased to be..
To say PLAY WELL in Danish - leg godt - is what you say; It morphed into our language and LEGO came to stay .
Yet Another Hierarchial Officious Oracle! We all know them as YAHOO; its certainly less dull!
National Biscuit Company would shortly fade away; Much tastier NABISCO is what we buy today.
Quality Communications Company today; Is most well-known as QUALCOMM, and easier to say!
Southern Pacific Railroad Internal Communications; Is better known as SPRINT to us across the network nations.
Service Games of Japan brought pinball to our shores The soldiers called it SEGA and the fame of pinball scored.
Roy Allen and his pal Frank Wright knew shorter names were best; They named it A&W and root beer said the rest.
Jack Smith sought a title for his email program that; Would spell out HTML to describe its mail format. The language it was written in would finally tell the tale. Today we use his program every time we send HOTMAIL.
Founder Paul had curly hair and so his friends would know, He named his business for his nickname, calling it KINKOS Jack Dorseys dictionary described short bursts of chatter, on topics of no consequence that really didnt matter! He loved the definition for just how well it fit her; Thats why he ditched the handle Twitch, and called his venture Twitter!
So if youve got a nickname that you never liked at all; Remember that we chose it so youre easier to recall!
It may not be your favorite, but keep it just the same; Youll always be more memorable than good old whats-her-name!

I don/'/t know of any other poet that puts this much information-history in their poems. Great flow and very educational as well. You own this niche. Wonderful as usual...

Brilliant!
Had me smiling at the very start and the flow just kept going all the way to the end.
Always good to get an insight into other people/'/s thought process and you gave that perfectly here.
I bet people from school that I/'/ve not seen in years would probably remember me better by my nickname than by my real name
Not saying what it was though!! |
