Today just isnt my day. Nothing seems to be going my way A snapped rope That seemed like my last hope Misfire, missing my mark Maybe I just need to look in my heart A dull knife Perhaps Sharpened on an exciting life Today just isnt my day Nothing is going my way
A drop of arsenic in my drink, I dont even need time to think. But as I sit here in the floor Letting the tears pour I think about my day How nothings gone my way
I sit here and cry All because today Ive been trying to die
But what is it they say, No use crying over spilt milk No matter what I tried nothing would stick My my what a waste of arsenic

Days of dead ends and questions why. Rarely does an answer show itself. Leaving us to falter and search for what may not exist. Maybe we were meant to have an awful day. All we can do is keep going. Well done. Keep going. |

Dear Voice,
Your answer is right there:
Maybe I just need to look in my heart...
Having survived physical abuse,
Kicking cancers butt,
Loosing 2 brothers and a sister all under
The age of 49 - then my father too.
Been on that floor with you,
Cried my tears and screamed my why/'/s too.
Dig deep into your heart, find 5 things to
Be grateful for before you go to sleep.
Seems like a silly exercise and some days you battle to find one, but don/'/t quit - pretty soon you won/'/t have a way to stop the grateful pouring out of you in rivers not just trickles and streams...
Good luck. Beautifully written. I could actually taste those tears again. Brilliant!
Love,
XxCCxX |
