Kind and Gentle Loving and true Thats what I saw When I looked at you
Someone who knew me Who made me stand tall Someone to catch me Before I could fall
I dont know what happened And I dont know why You changed so completely Became hurtful and sly
I cant live in your world With betrayal and lies So you just need to go now But I will not cry
As my heart is not broken Just a little bit sore And I/'/m already stronger For closing the door
I wont live in regret I refuse to feel down I miss the man you were Not the man you are now

We all change and often we outgrow one another. Your story is reassurance that disconnecting and moving on with your integrity firmly intact is far better than becoming something you aren/'/t for the sake of company. The only voice we can/'/t lie to is our own, and your sincere rhyme testifies to a strong sense of self identity. There is a fine line between compromise and condescension.
