The Creepy House

Contributed by akadawny on Sunday, 20th November 2016 @ 04:30:04 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Once upon a time
When I was very young
Hey you, pay attention
The story has begun!

There was this great big creepy house
At the corner of our street
With rusty iron gates outside
Where the big kids used to meet

The kids would shake the rusty gates
And say they didnt care
About whoever lived inside
"None of us are scared!"

Then one day they got braver
And said theyd go inside
Break into the creepy house
To see what they would find

They waited until after dark
For when the sky was black
Then climbed over the rusty gates
And crept around the back

I watched them from my window
Until they were out of sight
And then I heard a piercing scream
That made me jump with fright!

And then I saw them running
Down the driveway and away
Never to return again
Or speak about that day

The moral of this story
For all you kids out there
Dont go near the creepy house
Unless you want a scare!

I like the playfulness in your storytelling. Takes me back to being a kid and searching for the thrill of being scared. A fun read for sure. Great job!
