U USED ME:

Contributed by RICHARD_CAMPBELL on Sunday, 20th November 2016 @ 04:29:40 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

YOU USED ME:
YOU JUST NEVER STOP

U USED ME AT WORK
U USED ME AT HOME
YOU USED AT THE SHOPS,
I WONT COMPLAIN.
YOU USED ME ON TRIPS,
YOU USED ME ON PLANES,
IN WAYS I NEVER DREAM
YOU USED ME TO IRON
,U USED ME TO CLEAN
YOU USED ME TO COOK
ARE YOU INSANE.
YOU USED ME TO LIE
YOU USED ME TO CRY.
YOU USED ME LIKE A BANK
THAT NEVER RUN DR
U USED ME MY DEAR CHILD.

I love this as father, as a son
And, I love it as well as
just a worker, and I love it
even more, as a person
trying to understand what
I can do to possibly better
serve others other than myself.
Oh joy is this that brings Joy
onto others we murmur
under our breathes

No the children will not
understand this much we
give, and what we have been
given, we might look back
upon and shed a tear for
since we can never
thank those who helped
us enough now that
they are gone.

But they knew it
they truly did and only
wanted more for us.

in us, in you, in all
it beckons this
right now difficult
swamp of realness
and of all the things
we cannot change
but would if we only
could

yes, I am so thankful
for all that I do have

Thankful for all the folks
who stepped up at my
mothers funeral to speak
about what a wonderful person
she was

And yes more than that
I look back at my own years
all the things, any deed I did
for others, and how it was never
truly enough...

so in truth, it is a sacred calling
in each persons throat
it is empathy, it is love
it is a calling
an art that doth
exist

Thank you for a wonderful write
my man Richard!

Peace!

Muppet Master covered all the bases and I echo his sentiments.
