Diary of a Madwoman

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Wednesday, 30th November 2016 @ 12:47:38 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

In triple layered scorn
The pullback is warm
Indulgence is born
Advanced in its form
Bristled irony adorns
Mawkish vultures swarm
Blaring high-pitched horns
Cutting clear through the storm
Arriving crocodile teared worn
Voided backbone conform
Perplexed complex shorn
Resistant to transform
Allegiance is torn
Maladjustment the new norm
Possessed children of the corn
Sinking on quicksand platforms
Brimming with angst and forlorn
Lines memorized to perform
Suited up to mourn
Stand-in reform.

Thank you to all the jaw-dropping talent on YPDC- past and present- for all the inspiration.

I like it my friend. Short lines seething with /*****/ off attitude. The way it reads and the pace of it is great as well. Awesome job.

Spoken like a Gattling gun; rows and rows of piercing projectiles embedding themselves in a tidy cadence of sheer insanity!
Me thinks you have created a new poetry form here! Start to finish rhyme!
You are truly an explorer of words, and thank YOU for the inspiration. You are proof that venturing outside the conventional is creation itself.
I salute your 200th poem.

What does the rhyming do for you? How does the flow of your words assist with the flow of your thoughts?

I would only say mad in the sense that you cannot see your obvious talent in the same way that others can.
200 is an achievement in itself, 200 worth reading certainly is.
You thank all the "jaw dropping talent " here, in turn those of us who have been jaw dropped by yourself would like to thank you also.

Steve

//"Allegiance is torn
Maladjustment the new norm"

I still find this poem jaw dropping.

Robin: Holy sinking on quicksand, Batman!

Batman: Wha?

Robin: Holy sinking on quicksand, Batman! Quicksand, sinking, we`re sinking!!!

Batman: Uh...oh crap!!!

Now you see Superman would have been smart enough to never go near that quicksand platform thingy muh a bob.

What`s that got to do with Diary of a Madwoman. Nuttin` honey but Superman doesn`t need gadgets and is just plain more cool than Berpman. 😋 Still got nuttin` to do with this impressive poem. I just need to TIMgent. Speaking of a gent, that`s me. TIMgent. 😇😎
