I came here equipped The tables have flipped No longer young and foolish Shirking intentions ghoulish Smirking at apathy bred, This beast you have fed, Bullseye to the head, Sowing my tears To harvest your fears Of being exposed Your future foreclosed I lie in wait, To seal your fate, Vengeance by trait, Memories stirred awake Hefty price for your mistake Stiff penalty for your crime You cut me down in my prime These attacks won/'/t hold me back, They feed me like a tasty snack, Your trail of blood I will track, Your toy is now fully grown My forgiveness out on loan Smile big and wave to the sniper- It/'/s time you pay the Piper.

Wow this was full of angst and sadness but healing as well. One of those situations that unless you endured it , you have no clue. So I give you prop/'/s for coming out with this and I hope it is healing to you as well.
God Bless You!

Your toy is now fully grown...smile big and wave to the sniper..
Powerful emotions and words from the gut here.
This bittersweet work tells three tales; one of helplessness, one of remembering, and one of release. Your tale draws us back to resolve our childhood struggles. Yours are not over for you, yet the more you can speak of it, the less it will own you. I have always found such deep heart in your poetry, and this candid and anguished write is no exception. Your story reaches down to the past wounds we cannot heal, wrongs we cannot right, damage that cannot be undone. Paths that keep calling us back unresolved. In your poem although we try again to close the door and leave it behind, you remind us that we cannot change history, we can only release it. We can either forgive our past, or as you conclude, affirm that we are no longer helpless victims. A most powerful message of strength and healing. softerware |

I honestly believe the title of poems get lost but to me that/'/s where it starts and yours kicks it off. The first line is strong and backed with an army of attitude that says bring it. I/'/m still standing. Great job my friend.

Love the way you have woven both the anger and the resolution to stand up for yourself into this piece.
Defiant, powerful, it really does feel like your time to take a stand has grown into a giant.
As ever, great work
