You can hear a pin drop
We all desire
To be admired
Showered with love
Peace delivered by a white dove
All that is golden
Isn`t always worth beholding
Seasons come and they go
When it`s your time

I like to think we live between the raindrops. Life has a habit of getting in the way of our fond ambitions and leading us off the path. But as you have concluded, living is not an investment in some future gain--it is the here and now. Spend it well and often: We won/'/t be taking it with us!

Parts of this seem like a continuation of your last poem...

Isn/'/t always worth beholding//
The ending is ominous and somber in nature. This poem as a whole seems to be reflective. Musing over the lessons life has taught you.
