Welcome To The Dust Ward

Contributed by unknown_utopia on Wednesday, 21st December 2016 @ 10:44:37 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

welcome to the dust ward
I am the clinical evaulator
after I get this strait jacket off
I will take you on a tour,
here in the day room
we are awaiting the med call
although drugs are not the answer
they make life bearable.

I tried to write a love song
reliving memories long gone...
I am sorry invierno I could not do it
it just felt wrong,
possession is a short term effect
nothing good ever last long
thank you for the feeling
but I do not want it anymore.

Dreams in inertia
define my life now
I want to move on
but I
just do not know how.
Trapped under ice
I try to respond to duffs point of view
once again I am defeated
as debug mode now rules.

Stockdale knows
life is a complicated charade
softerware is so gentle
I almost forget the pain,
Hauntedscorp you are right
life is unpredictable
I just want you all to know
somehow
here in the dust ward I am comfortable.

I wish I could give a big, squishy hug to this poem!
I am not one for big, squishy hugs, but sometimes the occasion calls for one. I always love these poems where YPDC writers get name dropped...We learn, we love, we win, we lose. All of it experienced somewhat together. We share a piece of ourselves here.

Thank you for including me with yourself and many other talented writers!

Thank you for writing what comes natural to you, and thank you for being you. That is all we could hope for.

There so many elements that make this a great read. It/'/s clever, playful and it just works. Something different. I appreciate the kind gesture and the respect is mutual. And i did message you again so the saga continues, haha.

You have put your whole heart into this touching write. I am honored to be mentioned, thank you.
We are an odd mix here, but we are family to one another in so many tiny ways. We share, love, mourn, rejoice, celebrate and grieve in public through our writing. Your story is bittersweet, but this comes from living and experiencing more than most. Let us hold emotional hands tonight and let us all endure another year of kaleidoscope friendships and jigsaw puzzle fates! You are wonderful. You are loved. And you are ours.
Merry Christmas to us.
