Home Town Tragedy

Contributed by waynster on Saturday, 24th December 2016 @ 04:22:38 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

As I sit hear
I try and hold back my tears
I sit here and ponder
of someone elses fears

I remember my childhood
and all of the crazy things I would do
I sit here trying to fathom
the tragedy that has struck you

I may not know you
as we have never ever met
But on this day my heart bleeds
in it, pain has set

I am fortunate to have grown older
having made it through the years
I hate to see someone die so young
its hard to hold back the tears

This is why its so important
to show each other love every single day
Life is not guaranteed
we never know when a loved one will be taken away

Family and friends are important
communities are very important too
When tragedy hits home
everyone will be there for you

Life is a precious gift
at any time, the good lord can take it away
We just have to find a way to understand
and to get through each and every passing day

A sad but true statement. Surviving tragedy can open doors wider to be appreciated. Clarity of the present enlightens the future. I enjoyed reading this.

Empathy is the glue that binds.

Good job.
