The Goodbyes Letter

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Dear whoevers

Yes tis true there is a few of you,
some are out of my view
one crossed over to the Heavens
but you rest heavy in my mind
and still send nail driven pain
in my heart.
So this is for you.
I want to unglue you from me,
heart,soul,mind,body.
Shake the blue and bruises you caused
and I know you aren/'/t sorry
I am only sorry for knowing you.

So dear whoevers,
I write you this note, one none of you will read,
but I do it for me to set myself free
from the ice cold grips of your heartless selves.
The electric pain you inflicted on me
will not be my haunting wind when the sky is dark
nor will those feelings pierce my soul anymore
my mind, spirit you will own no more control.
I rise above and away from you
a little bird,on broken wing to sing once more
and be beautifully free, from the twisted limbs of you,all of you.

Then when its written, I may strike a match, and burn the page
and from a distance wherever you are,I hope you feel that heat,
and then the ember slowly die and leave you like a ghost
maybe then one day realizing the error of your ways
and karma floats a bubble of despair above your head
because then you will know, what you lost in me.

In your words you have created a rainbow of emotions. You can feel a variety of moods. Uplifting, moving and strength well positioned to conquer. A most captivating write.

I feel like I just witnessed a caged bird break free...Wonderful, powerful, full of strength and determination. Everything I have struggled to put into words myself. Thank you for wording this so well!

High five, Michelle. You got this.

I hope this was as truly freeing as it felt when I read it. To unlock and discard some of those old nagging chains. How uplifting it would be! hank you for sharing this.

I feel you, Michelle. I like the way you/'/ve expressed the heaviness and then the liberation. It is beautiful. I wish you well and a lighter heart filled with pleasantness. Cheers! Vic
